Nous sommes Zig Zag, une cuisine mobile qui sert une centaine de repas deux fois par semaine au Parc Maximilien. Nous soutenons les principes d’autonomie et d’horizontalité dans notre collectif.

HISTORIQUE :
Zig Zag est né l’été 2019, répondant à un cri d’urgence lancé sur des réseaux activistes internationaux. La situation était critique, des centaines de personnes avaient faim en plein Bruxelles. Des personnes liées à Calais et Ventimiglia ont réagi, la cuisine de Calais a fait les trajets plusieurs fois par semaine pour distribuer de la nourriture et des objets au parc. D’autres personnes se sont lancées dans la création d’une structure ici en partant de rien.

Selon les périodes, nous avons cuisiné jusqu’à 800 repas 5 fois par semaine. En ce moment, au vu des structures existantes et de nos forces et énergies, on a diminué la cadence !
Notre agenda est actuellement composé de 2 journées fixes (1 repas le lundi midi/après-midi, 1 repas le samedi soir).

Nous cherchons des personnes qui pourraient s’impliquer dans le collectif : venir aider à cuisiner, à distribuer, à nettoyer, à faire les récups, à faire les courses, à pied et à vélo !

Concrètement, on cuisine ou fait des récups les lundis entre 9 et 16h, les vendredis aprem, les samedi aprem et soir et les dimanches aprem.

Hello everyone,

We are Zig Zag, a mobile kitchen which provides about one hundred meals 2 times a week at Maximilian Park. Within our group we are supporting the principles of autonomy and horizontality.

BACKGROUND :
Zig Zag was created in the Summer 2019 in response to the cry of alarm from international activists networks. The situation was critical : hundreds of people were starving right in the heart of
Brussels. People connected to Calais and Ventimiglia reacted, the kitchen from Calais made the trip several times a week that summer to distribute food and items at the park. Others started the creation of an organization, here, starting from nothing.

In different times, we cooked till 800 meals 5 times a week. For now on, with the existing structures and our energy, we slowed down a bit !
Our current schedule has 2 fixed days (Monday midday/afternoon and Saturday evening).

We are looking for people who can join the collective : to come and help at the kitchen, to cook,
to distribute, to clean, to do the recups, to do the shopping, walking and by bicycle !

We cook or do recup on Mondays between 9am and 4pm, Fridays afternoon, Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday afternoon.

Wij zijn Zig Zag, een mobiele keuken die 2 keer per week zo’n honderd maaltijden verzorgt in Maximiliaanpark. Binnen onze groep ondersteunen wij de principes van autonomie en horizontaliteit.

GESCHIEDENIS :
Zig Zag werd opgericht in de zomer van 2019 als antwoord op de alarmkreet van internationale activistennetwerken. De situatie was kritiek : honderden mensen waren aan het verhongeren in het hart van Brussel. Mensen verbonden met Calais en Ventimiglia reageerden, de keuken van Calais maakte de reis meerdere keren per week die zomer om voedsel en items uit te delen in het park. Anderen begonnen met de oprichting van een organisatie, hier, beginnend vanuit het niets.

In verschillende periodes kookten we tot 800 maaltijden, 5 keer per week. Voor nu, met de bestaande structuren en onze energie, hebben we het wat rustiger aan gedaan !
Ons huidige schema heeft 2 vaste dagen (maandag middag/middag en zaterdag avond).

We zijn op zoek naar mensen die het collectief willen komen versterken : om te komen helpen in de keuken, om te koken, uit te delen, schoon te maken, boodschappen en « recups » te doen, te voet of met de fiets !

We koken of doen recup op maandag tussen 9u en 16u, vrijdagnamiddag, zaterdagnamiddag/avond en zondagnamiddag.
